Water sports

We hope that during your stay in Tenerife you won't pass up the chance to do some of the activities we suggest to make the most of the quality of the island's waters and beaches:

- Diving: The best times of the year are summer and autumn when the water is crystal clear and visibility is up to 30 metres.

- Snorkelling: Beginners' courses and baptisms. SEVERAL DAYS 1-2 DAYS, 3-4 days with certificate and private courses every day between 3 and 7 days.

Climbing

Those who like rock climbing or mountain climbing cannot afford to miss the exciting possibilities the island of Tenerife has to offer.

On Tenerife there are thousands of amazing routes of every level of difficulty with a huge variety of landscapes waiting for you. More and more climbers are discovering its magnificent routes, such as those of El Barranco de Arico (a gulley) and La Cañada de El Capricho (a ravine) in Teide National Park, two areas well known to sportspeople from all over Europe.

Hang gliding

Potholing: Cueva del Viento

The Cueva del Viento-Sobrado underground complex is the largest volcanic tube cave in the European Union. It was produced by lava outflows from Pico Viejo, near the Teide. A visit to the tube will give you an insight into the role played by outflows in the behaviour of volcanoes and give you the chance to see the whimsical shapes formed by the lava inside the Earth. It is an example of geological complexity.

Horse-riding

The horseback routes on Tenerife go over old highroads through mountainous areas, as well as along the coast. A different and highly recommendable way to get to know the island and enjoy a holiday in direct contact with nature. Ask us about the places recommended for horse riding, free roaming, with a guide or on short organised rides in small groups, and even routes lasting several days.
