Shopping in Tenerife
info
If you want to spend an afternoon shopping, to not sacrifice good habit, we recommend two specific places on the island where you can make the most of a day shopping:
Stores at Playa de las Américas (Beach), Tenerife:
The Mare Nostrum Resort is located opposite the main commercial areas of Playa de las Américas (beach). There is a macro shopping center just across the road where shops offer all the brands. You can wander and enjoy shopping for all types of products: clothes, shoes, electronics, sports equipment, perfumes, souvenirs, etc. And don’t forget the bars and restaurants with terraces and live music!
Stores at Puerto de la Cruz (port), Tenerife:
We recommend that you organize your own afternoon shopping and long walks around the Puerto de la Cruz (port). One of the oldest cities on Tenerife, you will be delighted by the charm of the old streets and Canary Island-style facades. The entire city is a wonderful shopping center. This is only recommended if you have a car to travel around Tenerife: From the hotel, can take the motorway exit towards Puerto de la Cruz.
-
Acantilado de los Gigantes (Cliff of the Giants)
info
You can access the cliffs from the sea, by boat, or from the viewing point. Once there, you will begin to comprehend their spectacular size and understand why they were considered a sacred site by our forfathers, and why they believed that the world ended here...
-
Cueva del Viento (Cave of the Wind)
info
The Cueva del Viento Sobrado (cave) is located in the Cueva del Viento neighborhood, within the municipality known as Icod de los Vinos, to the north-east of the island of Tenerife, in the Canary Isles. The Cueva del Viento underground complex is the best lava tube in the European Union. Visiting the Cave will enable you to understand the role of volcanic lava flows and appreciate the fantastical shapes that lava created inside the earth.
Note: It is important to know that the expedition to the cave is approximately 2 hours, and the route is considered medium difficulty; We suggest that neither children under 5 years, nor people with reduced mobility should visit.
